Power & Energy Industry

Learn about Jobon Laser’s 14+ years of experience, in-house factory, global reach, and commitment to innovation in laser machinery.

Laser Welding Machine Product introduction

The machine has 5 functions: welding, cutting, remote cleaning, weld seam welding and reservoir welding. Can be connected single wire, double wire, three wire, swing width O-8mm, to realize the thick plate wide seam welding. The ultra-lightweight laser head is equipped with double protective lenses, whichl solves the vulnerability problem of the focusing lenses of traditional handheld welding machines. It saves maintenance costs for the customer.

The unit is also equipped with an intelligent temperature monitoring system that automatically detects the lens temperature. If the temperature exceeds the set value, an alarm is triggered and the device stops working.

Application area

Laser welding machines are suitable for various metals such as stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum alloy, and copper.
They are widely used in sheet metal fabrication, kitchenware, automotive manufacturing, electronics, elevator components, hardware products, and aerospace industries.
The welding process is efficient, precise, and produces strong, aesthetically pleasing results.

it has high welding efficiency, small heat affected zone, beautiful and firm solder joints, refractory materials also can make it. Main power is 1kw, 1.5kw, 2kw, 3kw, 6kw. It’s the best choice for customers.

Product Features

  • Reliable Welding for Power & Energy Applications

In the power and energy sector—where components such as battery modules, fuel cells, solar connectors, and high-voltage terminals demand exceptional precision and durability—laser welding offers unmatched advantages over traditional methods.

With its low thermal distortion, non-contact process, and precise energy control, laser welding ensures clean, high-strength joints on sensitive components without damaging surrounding insulation or coatings. It’s especially suitable for welding copper, aluminum, and dissimilar metals used in electrical applications.

Laser Welding Machine VS Traditional Welding Solution

Compared to traditional arc or resistance welding, laser welding enables faster cycle times, reduced rework, and greater repeatability, supporting automation and enhancing long-term reliability in critical energy systems.

Feature Laser Welding Traditional Welding (MIG / TIG / Arc)
Heat Input Low heat input, minimal thermal distortion High heat input, prone to warping
Welding Speed High-speed welding with consistent quality Slower, especially for precision work
Precision Extremely precise, suitable for micro welds and automation Moderate, heavily reliant on operator skill
Automation Compatibility Easily integrated with robotic systems and CNC Limited automation, mostly manual or semi-automatic
Material Compatibility Works on metals like stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, copper, etc. Limited for certain thin, reflective, or dissimilar materials
Post-Weld Finish Clean, smooth welds with minimal spatter or rework Requires grinding, cleaning, or finishing
Penetration Control Precise control via laser power and pulse parameters Varies based on electrode, arc control
Heat-Affected Zone (HAZ) Narrow HAZ, preserves base material strength Wide HAZ, risk of structural weakening
Consumables No filler wire, gas optional (e.g., for fiber laser) Requires filler rods, shielding gases, flux, etc.
Maintenance & Downtime Low maintenance, fewer wear parts Higher wear (torch, nozzles, electrodes)
Energy Efficiency High efficiency, focused energy delivery Less efficient, energy loss via arc radiation
Operator Skill Requirement Easy to automate, reduces labor dependency Requires trained welders, skill-sensitive process
Environmental Impact Clean process, minimal fumes, no slag Produces smoke, slag, toxic gases depending on materials used
Initial Investment Higher upfront cost (equipment & system integration) Lower equipment cost
Long-Term Cost Lower operating cost, reduced labor & consumables High recurring costs for labor, consumables & rework
